Blepharitis is an inflammatory condition of the eyelids leading to red, irritated and similar to dandruff scales that form on the eyelashes and eyelids. It is a common eye disorder caused by bacteria or skin condition, such as dandruff of the scalp or facial acne. No matter the cause, the only way we can beat blepharitis is to determine it’s causes and it’s location as anterior, posterior, or mixed. The crucial step is to determine which condition you possess and treat it accordingly.
Anterior blepharitis is an inflammation of the eyelid margin to the gray line and concentrated around the eye lashes. The condition is typically associated with positive bacteria, most commonly staphylococcal infections that are not neccessarily dangerous to one’s health.
