Hoscote Estate is set in a 450 acre site in the heart of the Scottish Borders, boasting magnificent views over open moorland. Built in 1858, Hoscote House can comfortably accommodate up to 18 guests, and their are three further cottages all with four star rating from the Scottish Tourist Board, offering additional accommodation for up to 15 more guests. And with a wide range of activities available, Hoscote is the perfect setting for private house parties, weddings in Scotland, corporate events and informal sporting weekends.
Built in the 1850s, Hoscote Country House sits in its own private estate in the Scottish Borders, south of Edinburgh. Using a traditional interior decor style, it recreates the elegance of a bygone era throughout, whilst also being comfortable for today. The House has recently been refurbished to an exceptionally high standard and is rated as a five star property by The Scottish Tourist Board. With a drawing room, study, conservatory, games room and a large dining kitchen – as well as a large dining room – this is a house that is comfortable handling large group sizes.
Gardener’s Cottage forms part of the original steading. The cottage is a traditional stone built building in a picturesque setting and has been fully modernised to a high standard; including everything you would need to make your stay very comfortable.
Pathhead Farmhouse is a secluded stone built cottage in a rural setting, with an open view to the rolling Border hills beyond. Inside, it has been fitted and equipped to the highest standard.
The Hotel also has a traditional gate lodge in a rural setting, situated by the impressive gates at the start of the well-tended, tree-lined avenue which leads away to the main house. Inside, the Lodge has recently been extended and fully refurbished. All of the additional lodging sets Hoscote apart and makes it a perfect Scottish getaway, and Scotland wedding.
The recently converted Dairy building houses a sauna and fitness area, complete with space for yoga mats, massage table and other fitness equipment. There is also a shower, sink and w.c. Health and beauty treatments can be arranged at the Dairy, and outside is a spa pool – the perfect place to hold a deck party! The Dairy adds a special touch to any stay and make Hoscote House an ideal Scottish wedding venue.
